Solace: something that gives comfort, consolation or relief.

14th Annual Comedy Night

We are thankful for your continued support to the annual Solace For Stephanie Comedy Night. It’s hard to believe we’re approaching 15 years. We are blessed to help people diagnosed with cancer with your unwavering support. This year we surpassed helping our 115th person in need and many of those have been helped more than once.

Remembering Stephanie

In 1997, Stephanie supported a group of friends, who were also Rowley mothers, in spearheading the effort to build Kids Kingdom, the town’s only playground at Eiras Park.

Stephanie was a wonderful, caring person who gave unconditionally. She loved the community, sports, and her family and friends. When Stephanie passed away of kidney cancer, I felt our community needed to remember her. Rowley was where she grew up, attended school, married, raised her family, operated a business, and formed lasting friendships. By giving back to the community, she was part of making Rowley a better place to live.

We are blessed for your continued support.

In addition to raising nearly $4K than last year at our annual comedy night, Stephanie’s cousin, Tim and Robin Hough, made a $500 donation! Woo hoo! Then right behind that was a $200 donation from Sarah Watson, who has been longtime supporter, along with her Mom and Dad, Pat and Doug! Amazing!

And, then just a few weeks ago, Bill Murphy of Rowley, made a $1,000 contribution from his employer, Cummings Properties!
Cummings has an employee program in which you recommend your favorite charity (501c3) and we were selected!

Don’t forget your employee programs that match charity contributions! We are your favorite local charity!
